On these scrapbook pages there are two new features that I tested out. The first is using multiple backgrounds. The first background was solid green and the second was a blue textured background. After adding these two backgrounds as separate layers I lessened the opacity on one of them so that I ended up with a green textured background. Then I selected a blue, green, and pink striped background which I moved off center to cover only part of the page. Then I lessened it's opacity a little bit to take out the harsh dividing line.

The second special effect I did was to create a shadow behind the photos and text. On the photo I added a simple black frame, then right-clicking on the photo selected "edit layer style" then manually adjusted the frame to my liking and checked the "shadow" box.

On the text I selected "style" on the text toolbar, chose the "shadows" category, then clicked "low". There, now I have a digital scrapbook page with the appearance of a handmade three-dimensional scrapbook.
